Loving, Discipling, Serving others for the Glory of GOD

Our Ministries

KidsHope USA- is taking a break for the summer, and will have a planned event for students, their families, and their mentors in a few weeks.  KHUSA is an excellent opportunity for churches to become involved with the education of elementary students in their community.  Each 'church family' that participates adopts ONE elementary school.  Volunteers are selected and trained to serve as mentors to students who just need a little extra one-on-one time.  Each student and assigned mentor meet once per week for one hour during the school year at the school.  Additional mentors are always welcome, periodic training will be scheduled to prepare you for your important role.  Super Subs and Prayer Partners are always an asset to this important ministry.  Men are encouraged to sign up to work with the young men.  For more information and/or to sign up, see Terry Fennig.      THIS WORTHWHILE MINISTRY NEEDS VOLUNTEER MENTORS.

Jay County Retirement Center Activity Night- Activites with the retirement residents are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month.  Contact Bill Brandt for more information.

Dare-to-Care- is an on-going ministry offering prayer and note card care plus home visitation services to the church family and community.  Volunteers are always welcome.  Dare-to-Care coordinators, Mike and Lana Ninde, have graciously taken over this valuable ministry.  The group has taken a break for the summer but will return in September.  Each volunteer has been asked to carry on individually this summer.

Remembering Westchester- It is important to provide for your families and loved ones in your will.  You may want to also consider including Westchester UMC in your will after providing for your families and loved ones.  Bequests are free from estate tax and can substantially reduce the amount of assets claimed by the government.  Consult a lawyer to help you draft or amend your will.
